Echoes & Alleys

Doing meaningful work has always been my goal, but what I have struggled to reconcile is: how can I make a living from what I do? We all need to make a living after all.

This is the one and only question that has prevented me for so many years from following my true path. From a young age, I have been interested in religion, matters of spirituality, fascinated by history and by the complexity of the human being. Now, I am certainly not financially ready to take this path, but I am ready enough. I am going for it anyway.

In the book of Zechariah, for those of you who read the bible, 4:10 states: “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” This is my small beginning.

Before Jesus sent out the 12 apostles to do their works, he sent them out with no money, no bag, no shoes even... but he did say to enter a house, bless the house with peace and if there should be people of peace there, to receive support from them “for the labourer deserves his wages” (Luke 10:7). Although this is a bible verse, dealing with a time long ago and with people who were very different to me... the principle is the same.

With my work, I am guided by peace and I hope to give peace to whoever reads my words. I extend out my hand to those who wish to support me, which you can do at my page. I will not be offended nor discouraged for those who cannot, or do not want to, give.

There is only one thing that I hope: that my work serves God in the best way that I possibly can.

May these words be less about me, and more about the path. May they meet whoever needs them, in whatever way they need them.
